Non tech savvy noob needs help - billsnogo - 2025-10-20
Im not tech savvy at all and am cutting my ties to streaming since I own most of the movies/shows i watch on dvd anyways, but I love the streaming experience so much better than using a dvd player.
So....I bought two 14tb wd external hard drives, a mini pc from Amazon, connected through ethernet cable to my router/modem, and watch on a 4k firestick.
When I watch dr strange it gets a blocky poor image, and when I enabled Hardware acceleration (qsv) it got somewhat better but then glitches fairly frequently. I know nothing about settings in this and dont want to randomly click and see if it improves and make things worse.
This is the minipc I have
C1 Mini PC 11 Pro, Intel N97 Mini Desktop Computers (Beat N150/N100/N95) 16GB RAM 512GB SSD Micro PC, HDMI 2.0, WiFi 5.2, BT 5.0, 2.5GbE LAN 4K Triple Display, Small PC for Business Home
Any leads to help me get a clear stream please?
Oh, and i use makemkv to copy the disc
