12th gen i7 transcoding settings and stuck media library scan - dant123 - 2025-10-22 Hey there! Would appreciate some assistance here as I'm trying out Jellyfin again after a few years and wanted a sanity check on my settings. Running the latest Jellyfin version, freshly deployed, on the latest stable Unraid. Previously tried the official container but now using the LinuxServer one. My main issue is my media library scan getting stuck at 97%, but I'd also like to ensure my transcoding settings are correct. Unraid's Intel-GPU plugin is installed (w/ i915 driver, Alder Lake-P GT2 [Iris Xe Graphics]) and it's passed through as device /dev/dri, with hardware acceleration enabled as Intel Quicksync (QSV) and QSV Device set to /dev/dri/renderD128 in Jellyfin. "Enable hardware decoding for" has everything checked off, as I understand my NUC model NUC12WSBi7 w/ a 12th Gen i7-1260P should support them all. I also have the following enabled: Prefer OS native DXVA or VA-API hardware decoders Enable hardware encoding Enable Intel Low-Power H.264 hardware encoder Enable Intel Low-Power HEVC hardware encoder Allow encoding in HEVC format Enable VPP Tone mapping Enable Tone mapping Encoding Preset: Auto All other transcoding settings are defaults. I've confirmed the device path shows up within the container as well. These are also enabled for Trickplay: Enable hardware decoding Enable hardware accelerated MJPEG encoding I'm seeing so many logs that it's somewhat difficult to troubleshoot, but does this sound right for transcoding? My other issue is with the media library scan getting stuck at 97%. It did this on both containers so I'm currently double checking my media library's permissions but I know Plex doesn't have any problems scanning it. |
