Embedded subtitles not pulled from file - slebbington2 - 2025-10-23
jellyfin version: 10.11.0 docker hotio version
Issue: My jellyfin instance does not populate the "subtitles" option for certain media i have.
When i click on media info for said file it also does not show that it contains a subtitle file.
However, the same file does show embedded subtitles in my Emby instance so it is not the file that is missing the subtitles, see images.
The issue stems from Jellyfin's media scanning i presume
In mysubtitles settings, i have
- Subtitle mode: Always Play
- Burn subtitles: All
In my library settings, i have
- Disable different types of embedded subtitles: Allow All
I think these are all the settings related to subtitles, so i dont understand what is wrong.
