How on earth do I downgrade on Windows? - RestaurantMarsupial - 2025-10-26 Yeah, as the title says. Having issues on Jellyfin 10.11.0 server on Windows and I want to downgrade (see https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-issue-with-remuxing-on-new-jellyfin for why). I did make backups as per the instructions when upgrading but... how do I downgrade? Only official guidance I can find is here: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/testing/upgrades#downgrading-from-unstable-to-an-older-stable and the two setups in explains aren't mine. It says "for the specifics of individual platforms, please see the child articles under Testing Jellyfin Server." but there's nothing there? I tried sort of doing what it said for container downgrade... deleted data and config from ProgramData folder, then replaced them with the backed up version, and restarted the server. But it just says 10.11.0 still so, uh, I dunno? Yeah how do I do this? RE: How on earth do I downgrade on Windows? - theguymadmax - 2025-10-26 1. Uninstall Jellyfin - You should be able to do that from the Add/Remove Programs 2. Reinstall 10.10.7 https://repo.jellyfin.org/files/server/windows/previous-stable/amd64/ 3. Restore your backup ProgramData files 4. Start Jellyfin. You'll need to clear your browser cache. RE: How on earth do I downgrade on Windows? - RestaurantMarsupial - 2025-10-26 OK thank you very much that seems to have worked! (haven't tested much yet). |
