Wich ffmeg for flatpak jellyfin - schnuff - 2025-10-26
Hello,
I'm running jellyfin 10.10.7, installed as flatpak (yes I allready regret that) on a linux mint 22.2 installation.
Can I just install ffmpeg as described in the wiki or is there something special to know?
Also, wich ffmpeg should I use- the regular or the jellyfin specific? I also came across ffmpeg with a number suffix and don't know exactly the right one (I assume ffmpeg5!?).
There are several versions of ffmpeg in flathub- should I install one of them, or will I get in trouble doing so?
I'm not experienced in computing and new to linux.
I can run terminal commands only copy and paste, I don't really know what I'm doing and I often fail with it, so please be patient with me...
