I cant start any media playback - Ulasti - 2025-10-27
Okay here’s a detailed description of my setup and situation.
I have a macbook that i keep open at home in a drawer for remote desktop access and recently i learned about jellyfin and wanted to try it. And at first setup etc. it worked i even set a tailscale vpn automation for whenever i headed out so i can watch remotely hassle free, since i left my mac on for remote desktop it was no hassle. But i left it for a week forgot about it and now i cant watch any media it never starts. Even at home i cant open any media. But the local host launches and displays shows and movies, the iOS app also shows my movies etc but when i press play it doesnt start. I tried both with vpn and not. So what should i do?
Little detail: when i press play on my ipad or my iphone the apps dashboard shows that media has started playing also i can send message from dashboard to any device so where is the problem what dont i see?
