10.11 cannot stay running - Printable Version

10.11 cannot stay running - tvdu - 2025-10-29

I've been running Jellyfin on docker in Unraid. Ever since 10.11.0, Jellyfin can't stay running for more than 24 hours. It will crash and never recover. 10.11.1 doesnt seem to solve this. All previous versions were rock solid, i had almost a year of it working without issues. It doesnt seem to be happening to anyone else online that i've seen and i dont see anything in the logs. Where should i look?

I've the same issue, Jellyfin server stop after 12H/24h/
10.11.0 et 10.11.1 on a Windows / NUC
I get this kind of error every day, but never on the same files or collections.

I have disable TvdB but i have always problem since 10.11

For me, it always seems to be linked to the updating of the media library.

I rescanned each library one by one instead of doing a full scan, which crashed at 87% and shut down my server.

Once each library was scanned, I did another full scan, and this time there were no errors and no shutdowns so far.

Perhaps this will be helpful.

I've noticed over the last two or three days my server just stops for no apparent reason. I mean, maybe there is a reason but I've no way to know.

I'm running on Windows and it's only happened on 10.11.0 and 10.11.1, before that I never had this issue.

I only noticed because I couldn't connect outside my home. I came home, right clicked on tray and sure enough "start Jellyfin" was highlighted.

This is definitely an issue of some kind.

I have monitoring on my Jellyfin instance and it will not last more than 24 hours. i have a cron job restarting the Jellyfin service every hour, thats honestly the only thing that works.

Upgraded from 10.10.7 to 10.11.1 on Windows 11 a few days ago and the server keeps stopping. I don't even know if it crashes :-/ (I do think so, but have no proper indication).
10.10.7 ran very stable.
If I start the server, I can watch a full movie without problems. I can pause the playback and resume a little while later. If I then go to bed (after finishing the movie and now idling away), the server will have stopped when I wake up again.
If I run a media library scan, the server will stop within the first few minutes. (The scheduled library scan may be what is killing the server).

Please advise.

I've narrowed it down to a particular library causing my issue when scanning the library, either manually or automatically. Trying to understand the logs it "seems" like my music videos are causing the issue. Maybe you have something similar happening.
