iOS app not connecting to Jellyfin server via UGREEN NAS - paulnolansound - 2025-11-08
I've just set up my Jellyfin server on a UGREEN 4800 NAS using this very easy to follow video:

I've just tried to log in to the jellyfin server on iOS using the official app, and nothing works to connect, even though I'm using the correct IP address and port numbers (8096) and using HTTP rather than HTTPS
Frustrating as the iOS app doesn't give a 'quick connect' option as the above video suggests it's should. I've also tried toggling the 'Allow Local Network Access' on my iphone, with no luck, as well as with multiple restarts of the app, and reinstalling.
Everything is as it should eon the UGREEN NAS, sop I'm a little frustrated
Any help would be appreciated

i have the same issue with android app on my phone and the android tv app on sheild. sheild is hardwired top same switch as my pc that can connect just fine. it wont connect to local ip even though i can connect via webpage on android device. @paul can you connect via webpage on your phone? if so same issue as me
weird thing for me is if i go to mobile data i can connect via https when outside my network as well...
my situation i did change my default ports.
