Collections folder location - AntoPoney - 2025-11-14

Hey there
First time poster here
I have setup a Jellyfin server with a good bunch of movies and TV-Shows.
Media are stored on my NAS and JF have access to both /Movies and /Shows folders.
I have the Collections Library enabled (I do not remember if that was an auto thing)
My problem is that JF is storing all Collections files in the /Shows folder so it ressembles something like this:
ls /Volumes/Videos/TV\ Shows/
28 … plus tard - Saga [boxset]
Alien - Saga [boxset]
ARK The Animated Series
Astérix & Obélix - Saga [boxset]
Bad Boys - Saga [boxset]
Blue Mountain State
[...]

I couldn't find anywhere on the GUI to specify the location of those Collections folders and I'd like them to be put on the /Movies folders or a dedicated one.

Sorry if that was already brought up by someone else but couldn't find anything

Thanks a lot for the helps

screenshots of what you are referring to would help clarify your issue. What type of library did you set up? It will be displayed in the Dashboard-> libraries -> libraries. It will be displayed under the title of the library.

Hey there
Thanks for replying.
So I have three library:
- Movies, library type: Movies, Folder: /Movies
- Shows, library type: Shows, FolderConfused-facemnt/TV-Shows
- Collections, Library type: Other, no data folder specified in the GUI

And the problem is that the Collections files are stored in /mnt/TV-Shows (backdrop.jpg, folder.jpg those kind of files), in folder names like "Alien - Saga [Boxset]"

It's a bit of a problem as I'm using Sonarr to manage the files so all those folders appear in the import section there as well
Hope this has brought a bit of clarity in my post

Cheers
Anto
