Nvidia GPU not used for transcoding - FlyingHippo - 2025-11-22
For a lot of my media Jellyfin insists on transcoding using the CPU, even though all my players should be capable of handling both the video and the audio.
And to make things worse it doesnt use its nvidia GPU.
The CPU isnt fast enough to transcode without the plaers glitching or buffering
I cant find heads or tails in why some media direct plays flawlessly and others forces CPU transcode?
Please help. I am seriously pulling my hair out in frustration here. :-(
