Transfer server from Windows to new NAS - Ima_Espi - 2025-11-22 I've been hosting my server on my Windows 11 PC for 5 months, and I already have more than 400 films, a lot of collections and some custom posters. Even a few different users for my friends. The problem is that the server is only on when my PC is also on. I have decided to buy a NAS so that I can keep the server running all the time, and so my friends can enjoy it whenever they want. The thing is that my budget is very limited, and I wouldn't want to spend more than 150€ (I′m spanish, sorry for my english btw). Could you recommend a reliable NAS that more or less fits that budget and does the job? Jellyfin is the only thing I'm going to use it for, so it doesn't need to have any other function. I don't think storage will be a problem either, as long as I can connect an external hard drive to the NAS via USB, since my more than 400 movies are stored on a 1TB external hard drive. Maybe I would want another terabite, because I'm almost without storage left. I would be very grateful if you could find something that suits my needs. If you do find something, I also wonder how could I transfer my server from my PC to the NAS, keeping all the data, including the films, collections, custom posters and users. Thank you so much! I hope you will be able to help me. |
