Hello all
My current rebuild is driving me bananas.
After my debacle 3 months ago i installed jellyfin as an app within truenas scale on a dell r720. I allocated to Jellyfin server 16gb ram during the installation.
I use jellyfin media player on my pcs and on my android phone. Most of my cds and dvds a that i used to load my media are old and some no longer work. and therefore i download the media. I do not have a gpu installed on the dell
My issue:
Many of my videos no longer play and i get an error. These videos are mostly mp4 or avi or mkv. the details of these videos show hevc and h265.
all these videos do not platy in media player and some do play when i watch them directly from the ip of the server and some do not.
What and how should i configure the server (and media player) to see these videos.
I never had this issue before. I i read many articles and watch many videos with no success
