Per Library Collections - planedrop - 2025-11-25

I know there has been some discussion about this both here and on Reddit in the past, but at least in a quick search, I didn't find anything super recent.

Right now I keep my 4k movies in it's own library separate from my 1080p ones, I think this is a common setup considering you often don't want 4k to do anything but direct play and many don't have the bandwidth to do that externally (and in many cases many devices can't even do 4k without some transcoding).

I want to have the automated collections in place, but as many of you know, this seems to grab from all libraries rather than including a collection section within a given library. Personally I think collections should be grouped within their own library so you don't get both versions visible in the Collections tab.

For now, I can't really give users access to the Collections tab since I know some will try to play 4k movies by mistake and wonder why it's not working.

Is there any roadmap for this or workarounds that people have done? I can also post a feature suggestion or something along those lines.
