AndroidTV app issue after upgrade - wolfer201 - 2025-11-28
I upgraded from 10.10.7 to 10.11.3 on windows server. My server ran like crap for several days after the upgrade then normalized out. Everything works fine except for my movie library via the Jellyfin for AndroidTV app, or the Jellyfin for Kodi plugin. Im uncertain if the Jellyfin for androidTV and the Kodi plugin problems are related but they are close enough in symptoms that I mention them together. Basically everything work great on the standard android app and on web, but when I go to the movie library on the androidTV app, no movie displays unless I jump to a alphabet letter, or sort by anything other then "Sort by Name". The recently added movies still populate, and I can use search to find and play any movie i want. I have been able to recreate this on about a half dozen devices, including fresh installs. Installed Wholphin and that app displays and plays my movies with no issues on my androidTV devices. The kodi issue will not sync my movies, My TV show library will sync, but when it gets to movies it just sits a 0% gathering movies. Unsure if its related but worth mentioning.
My Jellyfin data is old and large and has survived years of Jellyfin version upgrades. I have several users watch history on the line, id rather not start my server over from scratch
