various methods for playing on Apple TV - spool - 2025-12-03 Hello, thank you for reading my post. I am running a Jellyfin server on my local network. It is set to require HTTPS and uses a self-signed certificate. It runs on the same VLAN as my client devices (phone, laptop, Apple TV). I can connect without issue from my phone or laptop via browser. I can Airplay Jellyfin from my phone to my laptop. I cannot connect from my Apple TV. I have tried: - adding the self-signed certificate to the TV's profiles - Swiftfin, fails immediately after trying to connect - Infuse, fails immediately after trying to connect - Airplay, shows a black screen with a red icon in the bottom left. I can Airplay non-Jellyfin media to the TV without issue. - activating "HEVC" and "AV1" in "Encoding format options" In all cases, the Jellyfin log shows no activity. Any suggestions? Thanks. |
