Shows not being found in Library - AsaOiralume - 2025-12-14 I feel like i'm missing something simple and/or dumb, but I have been struggling to find a working solution across google and these forums with this for hours. The setup (all of this is configured properly and working): - brand new VM running Ubuntu 24 Server - running Jellyfin 10.11.4 (and Caddy, but i doubt that's the issue) - raw ntfs drive passed through to the VM, mounted at /srv/space - using Windows and Chrome for the web interface for Jellyfin - 5 Shows in a folder using proper naming convention - example: /srv/space/Anime/Angel Beats/Season 01/Angel Beats S01E01.mkv - /srv/space/Anime added to Library Folders list - file permissions configured with chmod -R 777 /srv/space/Anime What is expected to happen: - Scan All Libraries - All Shows, Seasons, and Episodes are added to the Media List for browsing/watching What's happening: - Scan All Libraries - Scan finishes after a few minutes - 0 episodes populate in the Media List - Wait 5 to 10 minutes - 1 to 3 episodes populate in the Media List (one per show, randomly selected, exact number doesn't seem likely to be an indicator of anything) - Wait 30 minutes - No additional episodes populate in the Media List - Attempting to watch the episodes that do populate succeeds flawlessly What I've tried/checked + Results, with a library clear between each: - Initial try | Results: 2 episodes populate - Suggestion: use new API key for client | Results: seems not applicable due to using web interface? i think? | Results: 3 episodes populate, after waiting 30 minutes only 2 episodes populated (down one from the 5 minute wait) - Suggestion: check read/write/execute perms for jellyfin on the drive | Results: 2 episodes populate - Suggestion: check naming convention follows documentation | Results: 1 episode populates - Suggestion: change ntfs format to exfat | Results: 2 episodes populate - Suggestion: change naming convention slightly to /srv/space/Anime/Angel Beats (2010) [TMDBID-82942]/Season 01/Angel Beats S01E01.mkv | Results: 1 episode populates - Have not found more suggestions Any ideas? Thanks in advance! |
