Media Location - MGillette - 2023-06-25 Very new to this so please bare with me. Have been searching various places for about 4 hours and haven't found and answer to my problem. I just installed TrueNAS core on a new home server. I have successfully added Jellyfin as a plug in and the TrueNAS dashboard says it installed correctly and is up and running. I can successfully go to the admin portal website and log in. Where I am getting stuck is when I try and add media to Jellyfin. The location in which the media is stored simply doesn't show up. I know this has to be something simple but any help would be greatly appreciated. RE: Media Location - TheDreadPirate - 2023-06-25 If I recall, you have to tell TrueNAS to mount folders so that they show up in the docker container Jellyfin is running in. RE: Media Location - tsgillx - 2024-01-08 I have the same problem. I did tell Jellyfin during the installation where the library is. When I add /Library folder nothing shows up. I think it has something to do with permissions to that folder. RE: Media Location - tsgillx - 2024-01-16 I was able to resolve the problem additional mounting/adding the Library folder you have to assign the permission to the Library folder. Since Jellyfin is using the USER ID 568 it needs to give read (write if you like) to the Library folder. Under Dataset select the Library folder, click on edit permission and add click add item. Now select the users: apps its user id is 586. Give the necessary permissions, check apply permission recursively then save the access control list. Now JellyFin should be able to read the Library content. |
