What Happened to Nginx Proxy Manager Docs - huss - 2026-01-16
Hi I have a metal install of jellyfin on debian 12, and i was using nginx proxy manager to setup my reverse proxy.
I just had to remove my portainer and npm and do a new install as i had issues with changing from portainer be to ce, and that seemed to of messed with my npm and problems with jellyfin trying to login as it wouldn't recognize users.
anyways that aside I have now reinstalled npm but i wanted to configure jellyfin and I couldn't remember which options to check on the ssl certificate tab. such as hsts, http/2 and hsts sub domain. So I decided to check the jellyfin docs and now npm seems to have been removed and only traefik is available.
Is there a reason why its been removed, is npm not good with jellyfin anymore and its been removed..
just wondering cause atm traefik isn't an option for me i have had issues trying to use it in the past i don't know much about it, and my jellyfin server isn't a container and i think traefik is only for containers idk to be honest. any light on this would be helpful. i would really like to just use npm again as i had previously.

Some people wanted it removed for reasons, nothing to do with it not working with jellyfin. You can find the original here: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin.org/pull/1583/files

Thanks heaps I really appreciate it.. strange why they wanted it removed.. I mean ok traefik has more advance features from what I understand but npm does the job too, and they are separate options..
