New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.8 - ReleaseBot - 2026-04-05

We are pleased to announce the latest stable release of Jellyfin, version 10.11.8! This minor release brings several bugfixes to improve your Jellyfin experience. As always, please ensure you take a full backup before upgrading!

**Note**: This release fixes several regressions from 10.11.7, with the goal to get people onto an updated release due to the forthcoming (t-minus 9 days) release of the GHSAs/CVEs that were fixed in 10.11.7. Please upgrade to this release as soon as you can.

You can find the full changelogs on the GitHub releases for the server repository and the web repository.

Release prepared with <3 by @joshuaboniface, the rest of the Jellyfin team, and contributors like you.

Happy watching!

no trouble updating from 10.11.7
seems to be bit faster with library type homevideo and pictures, again

100k song library is usable now. Thanks devs! (still not quite as snappy/fast as 10.10)

Ram usage is much less compared to 10.10 as well!

Updated to 10.11.8 with no issues. Everything appears fully functional. Great work.

Just updated from 10.10.7 to 10.11.8. Libraries with a lot of content still would not load at all.

updated fine without a problem, thanks Smiling-face

It seems the Home Video libraries not loading is getting better. They now load after a few minutes. My audiobook library still does not recognize .m4a fìles.

Thank you a lot for really trying hard to get people to update (for their own safety). <3

Update from 10.10.7 to 10.11.8 on omv via linuxserver/jellyfin went smooth - i did not discover any problems so far

The service isn't running.  If sudo systemctl start jellyfin.service fails, you can try journalctl -xeu jellyfin.service for hints as to why it's failing to start.
