Unmapping an IPTV Channel - onemorejeff - 2026-07-31
I have looked for this and am surprised I cannot find a way to unmap an IPTV channel from it's current EPG schedule other than editing a file or some other invasive way.
I'm not experienced in posting here, so I'm sorry if I'm doing this wrong. Here's my finding:
In the channel mapping dialog, click the currently checked guide channel again. The mapping is toggled off. The displayed mapping may immediately change to a generic label, such as XmlTV, while Jellyfin refreshes. After the refresh completes, close and reopen the mapping dialog , the mapping will now be blank and you can select a different guide channel.

That’s a useful workaround. I was also surprised there isn’t a straightforward “Unmap” option in the UI. Clicking the currently selected guide channel again to toggle it off, then reopening the mapping dialog after the refresh, seems much cleaner than editing livetv.xml manually.
