download on IOS devices - C2gl - 2023-11-02
hello everyone ,
i really am impressed by jellyfin and the endire dev comunity behind it, so kudos for that!
i do be curious about the download ability for ios devices (and maybe even download transcodes)
i have noticed that jellyfin already runs with ffmpg and can live transcode?
but could it be possible in future developement to download transcoded versions of movies to ios devices for ofline use? or even just to download xd
i am no developer at all, and know only the very basics of swift, and server stuff xd, but it mostly due to google searches xd,
could someone knowing how all that works explain me what kind of challenges the jellyfin team would encounter if trying to develope this tool ?

It's been tagged as "PLANNED - Bill Thornton Bill Thornton", so that's nice! I'm going to keep an eye out and happily wipe out my Plex-dependence when the feature launches to iOS.
