Unable to connect to server from LG TV WebOs App - ivsciguy - 2023-07-02

I have been using the WebOs client to connect to my Jellyfin server for quite a while and it has always worked great.

Last night when I tried to connect the WebOS app had the address blank and wasn't auto-detecting the server.   I put the IP back in and all it says is "connection timed out".

Other clients still work fine, so I know I am putting in the right IP.

Can't figure out why the LG WebOS app suddenly stopped working.   I also tried uninstalling the WebOS app and reinstalling and it is behaving the same way.  Also restarted the host machine and my router.  No change.

Is there a way to do Quick Connect on the LG App?

I am using the WebOS app on an LG C2 OLED TV over Wi-Fi and a windows machine is hosting and connected to my Wi-Fi router over LAN. As stated, the port forwarding and such is all set up okay, as I can still connect fine from my phone and a laptop over wi-fi.

Update. I typed in the same IP the next day and it just worked. Have no idea what the issue was. Didn't reset the router again or do anything else after I made this post. It was really weird.

I have the same problem.

So far I have found only similar subjects on the site, but with no clear answers or no answers at all. Going back to plex seems like the only solution.

"I can't connect" is a very generic problem and could be caused by many many things.  Please provide more information.  Server specs, server OS, jellyfin install method.
