Infinite loading on media playback after update - Cyno - 2023-07-02
I finally listened to that popup and updated to 1.9.1 but now whenever I try to start a playback in my desktop client, I just get the infinite loading symbol and nothing happens. This is for the same media I could easily watch yesterday, and I can still watch it by starting it from my web browser jellyfin UI.
I checked the logs and the only ERR there was something about opensubtitles plugin which I then removed, but it didn't change anything except removing that error from the log, the media still loads forever.
Any help on what to do or how to diagnose further would be appreciated, thanks.

1. What exactly did you update to 1.9.1?
2. Could you provide the logs so we can have a look?
3. The issue with OpenSubtitles is known and there is a post pinned to the top of this Subforum about it.

Ah sorry for not clarifying, I updated the desktop JellyfinMediaPlayer to 1.9.1. You got me thinking though so I checked the server version too and saw it was older one. After updating it to the newest version everything is working fine as before, so it's just a case of media player not being fully reverse compatible. Thanks for the help

Yea compatibility is a bit of an issue. If you update one you kinda advised to update the other as well :-)
