iOS Clients not connecting - peripheral-norad - 2023-11-16 I'm struggling to get any iOS clients to work with jellyfin on my LAN. I'm hosting jellyfin with Docker. Running in docker network bridge mode, but I can't map port 1900 since it's already in use (I don't know if thats the problem, and if so can I remap to a non-standard port?). I can access jellyfin from any web browser on the LAN and it works just fine. However, clients that aren't a web browser don't work. On iOS the server is clearly "discovered" since it comes up as a server option. But when I try to connect, nothing happens. I've tried swiftfin and jellyfin mobile unsuccessfully. Any help would be appreciated. RE: iOS Clients not connecting - TheDreadPirate - 2023-11-16 Port 1900 is used by DLNA, but I think it also has some function for Jellyfin's "discover" function. What happens when you type in the address manually? http://LANIP:8096? RE: iOS Clients not connecting - peripheral-norad - 2023-11-16 Ok, for whatever reason it's all working now (and using the direct LANIP as you suggest). I reached the point of restarting the server, docker container, and all clients. It still doesn't work by clicking on the suggested "available" server. But that's not really important to me. Thank you! RE: iOS Clients not connecting - TheDreadPirate - 2023-11-16 It would probably work as you had intended if you resolved the issue with opening port 1900. Do you have other containers running? That might also use port 1900 on that bridge? |
