Setting up more than 1 language - TCG - 2023-11-21
3 questions in one post since they are related.
- Does Jellyfin support media.mkv that's Eng & Esp?
- If not is there a way to force it? Media documentation allows multi resolution withing the same folder. Would having a 1080p.mkv in Eng and 720p.mkv in Esp work and by chance play the 1080 while using the 720 audio? The idea is to save space by having a low resolution of the audio I want.
- If not they can suffer and read subtitles with opensubtitles but I'd like the metadata to be accessible in Esp which leads me to the final question can 2 libraries point to the same mkv location but pull different metadata language?

yes it supports multi-language media files
if you want a default you can change it per user, open the web page, sign is as the user to change, click the user icon in the top right and go through subtitle and playback settings to change defaults
during playback you can also select different audio tracks (client dependent)
