Jellyfin refuses to scan directories - sillyman - 2023-07-07

I have Jellyfin on a Debian desktop server abomination, but through the web client it won't scan or open any directories. I've tried giving Jellyfin access to my Media directory through chown (/home/dylanh/media) but still refuses and gives the error "The path could not be found. Please ensure the path exists and try again." My user is root and the web server is running fine, its just the scanning and opening of directories that isn't.

Can you provide more details about how everything is setup? Whether Debian is a VM. Where is the storage for your JF library? TrueNAS? Local to Debian? Are symlinks involved?
