if panasonic already ditched it i don't think anyone is going to bother writing a new app for it

Yeah, and I hate this obsolency by software negligence.

Bought the TV in 2020 and is already "trash".

Get a cheap dongle. The $30 Chromecast with Google TV is super capable and gets software updates much more regularly than other Google/Android TV devices.
