JellyFin server - User 4145 - 2023-11-28 I'm looking forward to open a JellyFin server (or Plex or whatever) but I'm not that informed when it comes to servers and their power etc. I found this computer than I want to use because it fits in my budget and it seems to have okay-ish specs: Q556/2 Mini Processor: Intel Pentium G4560T - 1150 socket | Dual core @ 2,9GHz Motherboard: Intel H110 - Socket 1151 • Intel H110 chipset Memory: 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz Video Card: Intel HD Graphics 610 SSD: 128GB - 2,5" (500+ read/write) Is this Processor good enough to run a JellyFin server, and how good would it run? Also, I looked up a lot of info on this PC/motherboard but I somehow didn't find anywhere if it has 2 SATA ports or if it at least has a m.2 slot. I thought the best idea would be to mount a m.2 ssd and then buy a 1tb HDD for movies and whatnot, but I'm not sure if it's possible so I also thought maybe then a SATA SSD and a SATA HDD would fit. (the SSD that the PC comes with is a SATA one) Thanks in advance! RE: JellyFin server - Fate - 2023-12-02 Should be fine. I'm running Proxmox on an J5005 and inside Jellyfin on LXC without GPU. It works fine when there is no transcoding needed. When transcoding 2 Streams are the limit it can do on CPU. Your CPU is about 50% faster than that. I would always recommend to use the Jellyfin Media Player app on your clients it usually gives the best performance. |
