Roku Playlists - JCJelly - 2023-12-01 Sorry for the duplicate question. I asked this on the main support channel but haven't gotten any response, so I thought I'd try here. I've just set up a Jellyfin server and so far it's great. The only issue/concern I have regards accessing playlists via the Roku app: I can't seem to figure out how to find the playlists and use them. I've searched for an answer, and I've seen some posts about re-ordering shuffled songs on the Roku app, but nothing about missing playlist functionality. Does the Roku app have playlist functionality, and if so, how do I access it? Server: Version: 10.8.12 Operating System: Linux Architecture: Arm64 Roku App: Version: 1.6.6 (edit: I verified that it is version 1.6.6) May 1, 2023 Thanks, John RE: Roku Playlists - TheDreadPirate - 2023-12-01 Are you using a different user for your Roku client? RE: Roku Playlists - cewert - 2023-12-01 It sounds like you are running into a server bug regarding playlists and permissions. Like @TheDreadPirate said, if you create the playlist with the same user that you are using on your roku, it should work. See this issue for more information: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-roku/issues/1318#issuecomment-1612130175 RE: Roku Playlists - JCJelly - 2023-12-01 It works! Thanks so much. You all rock!! The playlists are created by MusicBee and picked up by Jellyfin. I just have to sign in as the administrator account, which isn't the best, but since it's on a private network it shouldn't be a big deal. Jellyfin is great. I can get rid of the crummy DLNA player on Roku and have a real player interface. Thank you all so much for your work! |
