OS X Sonoma Security Issues - rifth69 - 2023-12-03 Let me preface by saying: Jellyfin is by far the best media server I have found, I love it. That being said I just switched from PC to Mac and have been fruitlessly trying to get jellyfin running, it wants me to go into settings -> privacy and security and click allow about a thousand times to run the program once. For every dll file if not every file in the package, it must be sent through manually by me. I cannot do this of course. So I'm left without Jellyfin. I would however like to see the app updated so that it functions with the latest OS X. Please, if there's any way around hitting allow 1000 times.... inform me because I am pretty novice on certain things. 14 " Nov 2023 MacBook M3 Pro with Sonoma 14.1.2 is where I'm trying to execute jellyfin. RE: OS X Sonoma Security Issues - crobibero - 2023-12-03 How did you install Jellyfin? The official installer is signed and shouldn’t require accepting all of the dlls but I haven’t personally tried RE: OS X Sonoma Security Issues - rifth69 - 2023-12-05 I downloaded the combined archive. As I can tell there is no installer for it, I just tried to execute the jellyfin file and- every file is basically rejected by OS X. I'm trying the installer version now, maybe it's all I need anyway. Thank you. RE: OS X Sonoma Security Issues - jimmyjammy - 2023-12-05 Yeah, I think you downloaded the wrong file. You want this from Jellyfin's Mac Os Server Download page https://repo.jellyfin.org/releases/server/macos/stable/installer/jellyfin_10.8.13-1.dmg Cheers |
