No Live TV JMP - mart11 - 2023-12-07

I'm a new user of Jellyfin and was pleased when I got it up and running. I have a Win11 PC running the latest jellyfin and NextPVR. (as of 5th Dec 2023)
Everything works as I expect in a browser but I can't see any live TV when using JMP. I've tried JMP on the same Win PC and on a Linux laptop. I can see the TV Guide and the list of channels but when I try to watch I don't get any stream, I get "unrecognised file format" I can watch movies OK.

Are you forcing transcoding of live TV? This is a setting in the Users Dashboard (you have to change for each user). I believe the default is that it does force live TV transcoding.

I don't see anything to do with Transcoding in Dashboard, just a server info window, Active devices, some activity info and a list of paths.

Apologies, found the setting in the Users section.
"Force Transcoding of remote media sources such as Live TV" is not ticked.

If you're on the desktop app or browser, on the left panel you should see "Users". Select a user and one of the options is to force transcoding of live TV.

If you are accessing the dashboard from a phone you will have to click on the "burger" menu in the top left to show the available Dashboard menus.

RE: No Live TV JMP - mart11 - 2023-12-07

I read the NextPVR thread, tried the access settings but no difference. There is much talk about JSON and other stuff I don't understand but the thread is over a year ago so I presume anything they changed is now integrated with the fermions I have.
