Android: Unable to reach server - TrotskyAK47 - 2023-12-10
After hours of scouring youtube, google, and this forum, I am at my wits end.
I am a newb. I recently installed and setup Jellyfin Version 10.8.13. Everything is working great on PC.
Trying to connect to the server on my android via the Jellyfin app.
I have tried:
http://ip_address
http://ip_address:8096
ip_address
p_address:8096
And only get back "Unable to reach server:" ....
Local HTTP port number = 8096
Allow remote connections to this server = checked
All networking settings are default.
I added Jellyfin to firewall whitelist however, I'm not confident that that's not the issue.
What am I missing?

UPDATE:
Partially solve; I changed network to private and checked private network in allow app to communicate through windows defender.
I can now access server via browser.
However, Jellyfin android app is returning "Unsupported version or product:"
