Android TV version 0.16 - niels - 2023-12-10 It has been a busy year with a lot of work on the Android TV app. After an extended beta period today is finally the day to leave it and publish a stable release. RE: Android TV version 0.16 - stewed pork roti - 2023-12-12 I'm excited to try this out, but I haven't had a chance yet. From the blog post and the release notes, it sounds like this is the "Playback rewrite" I've been looking forward to, but I see that branch is still active on GitHub. Is this just laying the groundwork for the new playback system? Or is it partly/fully implemented already? Is this just laying the groundwork for the new playback system? Or is it partly/fully implemented already? From the blog post: Quote:In this release the initial results are ready for daily use and playing music will use the new playback code! This means the playback rewrite is only used for music right now. I'm still working on the video part. RE: Android TV version 0.16 - Six66Mike - 2023-12-14 When I start to play music in the previous beta and stop playback, the content is still shown as Now Playing on the Home screen. I haven't been able to figure out how to get rid of this or properly "stop" music so it's not seen as active content. Does this new version resolve that issue? That's basically the only problem with the beta I had and I don't really see it mentioned in the blog or release notes. |
