How to backup genre and network metadata? - Farnsworth - 2023-12-19
I change the genres and networks on Jellyfin a lot and it's a rather time consuming process. However, when my files are deleted and added again, like if tdarr transcodes them or I move the folder location, the metadata is reset and I have to redo them. I'd like to be able to backup the genre and network metadata and successfully restore it in the case that my metadata is reset.
I'm on Windows 11 and know that C:\Program Data\Jellyfin contains this metadata. Though I'm wondering which folder specifically would hold the metadata that includes any changes to genres and networks. The metadata folder seems to only contain pictures so I don't think that's the one I'm looking for. I also checked the omdb folder in the cache folder. This contains the metadata of my shows, though when I check the ones where I've edited the genres, the added genres aren't there. I'd like to be able to find the folder that contains my current metadata including the changes I made to it, so that I can restore it in case my data is reset.
