Can't connect to server - br3ndino - 2023-07-13 Good morning, hope you all are well. Since this morning I am unable to connect to my server, both internally and externally from any device. I get the following error: [2023-07-13 07:18:02.182 -04:00] [ERR] [24] Jellyfin.Server.Middleware.ExceptionMiddleware: Error processing request. URL "POST" "/Users/authenticatebyname". Jellyfin.Server.Middleware.ExceptionMiddleware.Invoke(HttpContext context) I have changed permissions to Everyone having Full Control of the jellyfin.db file. I have tried clearing cookies, browser data, local storage. I have also tried renaming jellyfin.db to jellyfin.db.bak, letting it recreate the file, then replacing it with the .bak. I am on 10.8.10 and am seeking advice on how to fix my issue. If I put in my username and password it pops up a window saying "Connection Failure We're unable to connect to the select server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again." If I put in the wrong password for a valid user, it says the same thing. If I put in a username that isn't valid, it pops up on the bottom left saying Invalid Username/Password. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! RE: Can't connect to server - TheDreadPirate - 2023-07-13 You don't have to give full control to everyone. I believe just "SYSTEM", administrator/local administrator, your user. Also make sure that the expanded permissions applies to the directories leading to the DB. Ugh, I hate Windows file permissions. Yeah, all of those have perms already, and everyone would solve that regardless. I believe my computer may have restarted before this error started. No earthly idea. Just tried a system restore, no luck unsurprisingly. RE: Can't connect to server - TheDreadPirate - 2023-07-13 In the Jellyfin Matrix chat, someone resolved this problem by setting the jellyfin executable to "Always run as administrator". We're thinking that a Windows update that went out this week broke something with permissions.
