Hi Guys,
A quick question regarding screen-saver and backdrop.
Use in app screen-saver is on, time is set to 1 min.
If I play songs from playlist or albums it turns screen-saver on after 1 min. so all good, but I only get a blurred background, compared to before where I got the backdrop of the band/singer (image from album folder).
Is that new since last update, is it something changed in the settings, is it a bug...????

The screensaver does not currently use backdrop images in the now playing view.

Thanks for your answer.
But how to get it as it was before then...?? It does not show any backdrop currently, its just a big blurred screen with the small cover down left.
Before if playing a song then after 1 min. it switches to backdrop with the cover to the side, and as soon as you touch the remote control it puts back the overview.

Like I said, the new screensaver does not show the backdrops anymore. This was an intentional design change. If there's a lot of demand for it we can look into adding the backdrops back to the screensaver in some way.

ahh okay,
not a good design change from my point of view,
then all the work to have very nice backdrops is wasted and also the amazing look is gone.
is there a possibility to downgrade to the older version where this was still functioning ...???

- go to https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv/releases
- find version you want
- click "Assets" to expand files
- download the apk
- install the apk
- profit
