No Connection over ddns domain but pure IP - BitBlock - 2023-12-22

Hello,

i have a strange problem to reach my jellyfin server behind a OpenWrt-Router.
I have port forwarded 8096 from the wan interface to my lan server at 192.168.1.240.
Also i have set up the openwrt ddns service to update my actual ip to my registrated domains
they are from duckdns.org,dynu.com and ip64project.
When I connect from my phones or tablets jellyfin android app to my actual ISP public ip my router forward me to my jellyfin server
but when i put in my domains that are updated with the right public ipv4 from my ISPĀ  ( i checked it ) it gives me an error.
I cant explain why that happening. in the past it worked always well.
Could it be that i have adguard home on my router and redirect all dns traffic orginated to port 53 to adguard home port 5454 i dont had problems
with that now and it worked well.

Hopefully you have an idea what it can be that ddns doesnt work.

thank you !

So it worked before but it no longer does?

Can you share your logs with us? Attach them here or use a pastebin site.

a long time ago dynamic domains function properly on the android app. than i only used it from local lan with local ip.
i think its something wrong with the android app itself. when i type in my domain in the browser with port it connects to the log-in page from jellyfin. i looked in the logs and found that line:
"[2023-12-22 20:04:11.651 +01:00] [WRN] "93.197.9.124/32": External request received, however, only an internal interface bind foundbut there"
He binds to 192.168.1.240 the local interface IP from the dhcp of the router. Dont know what this means.
sorry for my bad english.

i am thankful about any idea i'am near to give it up because there are no settings for that kind of problem.

In Dashboard > Networking > Bind to local network address

Is that field populated?

RE: No Connection over ddns domain but pure IP - BitBlock - 2023-12-22

yes: "192.168.1.240" i typed it in. Was it a mistake ?

Erase that and save. A blank field means that it will bind to all available addresses.
