Posters and backgrounds - Double_Bid1207 - 2023-12-23

I have set TMDB as a metadata source in the settings for my films, but when I want to identify a film I can only select a poster. Now there are many different user-created posters for each film on TMDB. How do I set Jellyfin so that I have more than just one poster to choose from?

You can "edit images" for the show or movie and find other images.

I know that. So there is no way that Jellyfin will automatically provide other posters to choose from. Or is the only solution that I download sperat posters and backgrounds for each film and upload them to Jellyfin?

Can you further clarify what you want? Do you want to have multiple posters that auto-rotate from being the main one? Or just see all of the current posters on TMBD and hand-pick one?

What TheDreadPirate stated should be what you want here. How have you been editing metadata for your movies? It seems weird that you missed the "edit images" option since it's almost always next to the "edit metadata" option.

Just in case you're unaware of it, to find this, right-click on any poster or click on the vertical 3-dot context menu button on items. Then select the "edit images" option. This will open the GUI option for editing images.
In that GUI, you will see a magnifying glass that will open a view of all posters present for your show/movie based on the metadata sources you have for your library. There should be a button that you can select to also show you all posters for all language types present too.

In edit images, simply clicking on the search icon will find available images.  No need to manually find images. Click on the cloud download icon and it will automatically add the images.
