Media Player not loading - DuckLizzard - 2024-01-08 I currently face the problem that i would like to watch my 4k movies in HDR but i dont get firefox to play them in HDR. So i want to try out the Desktop Cilent, because it support everything according to the Documentation. The problem is that the Desktop Client just loads in definetly when i try to playback any media. The server logs dont show any actions. Is ther any thing i can to the get the Desktop Client running? Server: Version: 10.8.13 OS: Linux X64 (DOCKER&UNRAID) Plugin: Not changed after initial installation Media Player Version: 1.9.1 RE: Media Player not loading - TheDreadPirate - 2024-01-08 For HDR content, try Jellyfin MPV shim. https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-mpv-shim But JMP should be able to play it and tone map locally. JMP produces logs, can you share them here? Post them to pastebin then link back here. It satisfies allmost all my wishes for a jellyfin client. The only thing that i would need for it to be perfect is a configuration so it automaticly switches the display into HDR mode when a HDR file is played, but i could not figure out if it is possible. And if so how to do it. I also tried to appended the log from the JellfinMediaPlayer, but the file didnt appear after upload in the attachments. Not sure if there is a requirement for a certain number of posts before it allows you to attach files. Post it to pastebin and link back here. AFAIK, client software can't tell a monitor to use HDR or not. That is something you switch on/off in the OS config. |
