Noob: Scanning MP3 ID3 tag data - tam481 - 2024-01-08 Hello I am very new to Jellyfin. I'm only scanning my music mp3 library which is fully tagged (ID3). I'm experiencing very bizarre behaviour with Jellyfin. The library scan does not seem to read the artis, album and song info from the tags. For some reason it seems to assign the wrong picture to the wrong artist and the wrong album. It's all just completely wrong. I tried with disabling the music identification services to no avail. Is there something unique about the way Jellyfin scans and organises music? Thank you in advance RE: Noob: Scanning MP3 ID3 tag data - TheDreadPirate - 2024-01-08 I strong recommend you run your library through MusicBrainz Picard if you have not done so already. https://picard.musicbrainz.org/ Make a copy of your library beforehand just incase the results are not do your liking. Once this is done, put the newly tagged music in your Jellyfin library and rescan, replace all metadata. |
