Can't launch Jellyfin on Unraid anymore - Hostile_18 - 2024-01-15 Hi all. Total newbie to Unraid/Jellyfin as of a week ago. Love it all so far. I setup my Jellyfin server as I wanted it, got it all perfect etc. Last step was for me to allow outside connections. So at first I wanted to make sure I could open a straight port to test if I was doing it right, before I set up a reverse proxy (I believe that's the right term) to make it semi secure. Anyway got it working by introducing a port forwarding rule on my HUB. Me being daft tried to make it more secure and I changed the network connection port on Jellyfin under the network settings from 8096. It didn't seem to work, so I reverted it back to 8096. However when I left the jellyfin UI I can no longer access it on anything. I panicked and got rid of the port forwarding rule on my hub and it still won't launch on my pc or phone via local network now. The following is true; > Looks like Jellyfin is running on Unraid. > Clicking on the name Jellyfin on Docker shows it is still using port 8096. > I get the following message on the web browser when I try to run the Jellyfin GUI " This site can’t be reached 192.168.0.59 refused to connect. > Same with the phone app. > Restarting of PC/Server/Jellyfin, turning off windows firewall does nothing. So in summary "all" I changed was the Jellyfin port number via the app and introduced a port forwarding that didnt work (that I removed straight away). Can anyone help in really simple terms? I feel stupid, but I guess we all have to start somewhere. Really don't want to lose all the customizing I've done to my media database RE: Can't launch Jellyfin on Unraid anymore - TheDreadPirate - 2024-01-15 You will need to manually change a config file. Stop your jellyfin container. Then in container path /config/network.xml (I think that is the right path), whatever that translates to for the host path, you will need to modify the http port back to 8096. Save, then start the jellyfin container. I can click on it and it downloads, and if I open that from my PC I can see where I would change that data, but how do I do i edit the Unraid file live on the server and save it please? I've only ever used windows up until a few days ago, as you can probably tell! lol RE: Can't launch Jellyfin on Unraid anymore - TheDreadPirate - 2024-01-15 I don't use Unraid, so.... Is there no command line interface to interact with the Unraid file system? RE: Can't launch Jellyfin on Unraid anymore - Hostile_18 - 2024-01-15 I have downloaded something called Krusader, that I can apparently edit files. Is there something I need to change here? Photo removed. Got it, thank you very much. Really appreciate it. I'd never have worked that out lol. |
