Use embedded MP3 images when there is no image of the album artist - yamanobe - 2024-01-18 Thank you for all your help! I have a synology NAS with jellyfin and navidrome as a music server. I have installed and started using Symfonium to listen to music from android, I listen mostly to self-published music and old Japanese animation opening theme songs, so most of the songs I listen to have no image in the database. Therefore, the album artist and artist columns are lined with blank images. I have a request, could you please change it to use an embedded image when there is no artist image? For example, like the android application poweramp or the windows application musicbee, if you could use the embedded album artwork instead of the artist image, then it would be possible to display an image illustration of an artist that is not in the database. I think it would be a great tool! https://i.imgur.com/9EXjrVg.png RE: Use embedded MP3 images when there is no image of the album artist - mikesulsenti - 2024-01-18 I believe embedded art work will show up when the song is playing. But album and artist artwork have to be in the folders as folder.jpg It would not be very efficient to scan the media files for each of the album art work to be displayed in the album folders. Then there's also the possibility of conflicting artwork in the audio files and which to pick from if so. RE: Use embedded MP3 images when there is no image of the album artist - yamanobe - 2024-01-19 Thanks! But my request is different, I don't want the artwork of the selected album to be displayed every time, but I want a setting to determine the artwork of a song I own as an album artist or image for an artist by selecting it once at random. Just having this setting would allow me to create images for artists and album artist categories for which no database exists in the world! When scanning the library, we want the option to select one of the album artist images and artists from the registered songs and use that as the folder.jpg when it does not exist in the database! It doesn't have to be exact, you can choose that one piece under any condition. Right now, I need to work out that if it doesn't exist in the database, it will be a No image. Please. Please think about it. RE: Use embedded MP3 images when there is no image of the album artist - mikesulsenti - 2024-01-19 How is this different than putting the album cover image in the folder? Also if you want it to be considered, it needs to also be submitted to the Feature Request tracker RE: Use embedded MP3 images when there is no image of the album artist - yamanobe - 2024-01-19 Thanks, sorry! Can you please tell me where I can find the Feature Request tracker?
