Album Artist metadata issue in compilation album - carrot0202 - 2024-01-19

Hi there, new Jellyfin user here.

I'm trying to organise my music library, but I've come unstuck with a DJ mix compilation. The album is consistently showing up under each of the featured artists, not the artist that the album was released by.

I've made sure all the tags are correct using MusicBrainz Picard, ensuring that the album artist is the same across all tracks, in this case 'Disclosure', and all of the MusicBrains database tags are correct, but Jellyfin is not showing anything correctly on the UI side.

I've overridden the album artist tag, manually updating the metadata for each track in the UI but still to no avail.

I would assume that setting the Album Artist to 'Disclosure' would make the album sort under *just* Disclosure, not each of the featured artists in the compilation album?

Please see attachments with images that better illustrate my issue.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try moving the album folder out of the library, scan music library & then add the album back into the library again. Make sure that you delete any .nfo files (artist.nfo,album.nfo)that might have been created before doing so.
Cheers, hope this helps!

Thanks for this, but unfortunately I still have the same issue. Any ideas of what to try next?
