Failed recordings - Mushie - 2024-01-31 A forum search only led me to this one topic that is related: https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-solved-some-of-my-programs-are-not-recording-how-do-i-troubleshoot I have noticed that recordings fail when the show is a repeat. However, when the show is listed as new, it records perfectly fine. Furthermore, when scheduling series recordings for new episodes, the icon will many times show up as greyed out instead of red. I then click on the show again and, although Series is highlighted Red, the record option under it is grey. I then click record and all seems to be set correctly. Nonetheless, this seems to be a flaw in the system. I am on Windows Server v10.8.13. I am curious if anyone experiences this issue, and if there is a fix for it. Thanks! RE: Failed recordings - TheDreadPirate - 2024-01-31 AFAIK, there is no workaround or fix in 10.8.13. But I don't have a lot of experience with live TV. The other user I worked with with this problem didn't have much luck either. RE: Failed recordings - Mushie - 2024-02-07 I experimented more by scheduling recordings thru the Roku app. Both new and repeat shows recorded as intended. Next I scheduled a recording thru the Android app and, again, the recording succeeded for a repeat show. Finally, on my phone's web browser I scheduled a recording successfully, as well as on my computer's web browser. All recordings were successful. Also, scheduling a series to record all new airings correctly shows the red-highlighted icon for episodes. WEIRD! I didn't do anything besides update the android app, and the Roku updated on it's own...so not sure what caused the fix but it appears good for now. But can I trust it to continue working? |
