XBOX app - gamerayers - 2024-02-04
I have an Xbox Series X as my main (and only) driver for my 135" projector screen.
I recently switched from trying (with many fails) of using Kodi to a server based Jellyfin system. All my other TV have Android interfaces and work great. So does my phone. BUT, my xbox is AWFUL. The playback is smooth, and picture is great. But it keeps switching to German language and the mouse control with a remote or even the control, just awful. I had heard that VideoTape was the fix, but it is gone.
When will the actual interface work? The support is just horrible for xbox, when it could be the perfect application for it.
Is there a better interface, like VideoTape? or a way to install VideoTape at this point?

if you haven't already figured it out the xbox app is basically abandoned https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-uwp
given that
it is far more likely people will give up and switch to a platform that is currently being developed for (android, roku, kodi) than to have the xbox app fixed
at least in terms of time frame it would be faster to just use a different platform
