New to jellyfin and looking for support from the community - mans - 2024-02-04 How do I make HDR to SDR tone mapping to work on jellyfin? I am new to jellyfin and looking for help from the community. I have an intel i9-14900k with integrated igpu and my entire system is on an ssd and on unraid in jellyfin docker. For settings, I have chosen Intel quicksync on the jellyfin server and left everything else to default. The file I am trying to tone map is of the format WEB-DL.DDP5.1.HDR.DoVi.x265 which is of Codec: H265 (10-bit) and mkv and Bit rate: 21.4 Mb/s. After these settings the file is not tone mapped from hdr to sdr which is my only goal. By playing this file, Dolby vision is getting activated on the TV. The dolby vision on my TV is not great which is why I am trying to tone map HDR to SDR. I can also see the video is not tone mapped because it has got a dark grey tint. 1. What am I doing wrong? 2. how do I check if HDR to SDR tone mapping is working in unraid jellyfin docker? The way how I checked now is, I played the same file on plex with no transcoding settings and it played exactly like how it did on jellyfin by activating my TV's dolby vision with dark grey tint. RE: New to jellyfin and looking for support from the community - TheDreadPirate - 2024-02-04 In Dashboard > Playback there are check boxes to enable tone mapping. Are those checked? How are you running jellyfin? In a VM? In a container? What are you currently seeing that is a problem? Are the colors washed out? Is it just not working? |
