Server keeps requesting DNS resolutions of its own domain, once every few seconds - dinosm - 2024-02-10

My Jellyfin server keeps making DNS requests for its own domain name. This happens about once every couple of seconds when playing media on a remote client.

Just to clarify, this is the *server* itself placing DNS requests for its own domain (the domain where Jellyfin is accessible), not the client.

Is this normal behaviour? If so, why? If not, why does it happen and how can I stop it as it's flooding the DNS logs and makes it difficult to spot other requests I might be looking for.

Can you describe your setup? I'm assuming Linux, which distro? Any virtualization? Reverse proxy? If so, which one?
