What are these BIF Files? - puffyx - 2024-02-11 Hello there, Jellyfin runs at docker on my Synology DS220+. At the last 3 days my cpu on the DS220+ is between 98% and 99%. Jellyfin creates BIF-Files. When i stop this, the cpu goes to normal. What are these BIF-Files and do i need it? RE: What are these BIF Files? - niels - 2024-02-11 Starting from Jellyfin 10.9 we generate "trickplay" images. Those are used to show thumbnail previews of the video while seeking. They are saved as bif files. RE: What are these BIF Files? - niels - 2024-02-11 I believe it is implemented as a scheduled task, in which case you can disable the task. Not 100% sure about that though as I use the stable release myself. RE: What are these BIF Files? - puffyx - 2024-02-11 Okay, i found the scheduled task and disabled it. I use Jellyfin with Kodi, so i think i don t need thies "trickplay" images. s for help.
