server connection - sailor842 - 2024-02-13 I am new here. I am trying to use Jellyfin in place of Plex. I have downloaded Jellyfin to my computer (Blackview), using Windows 11 and am hooked to my server/router via LAN (Arris Surfboard). I keep getting "connection failure" Windows is a fresh install with all of the updates. I have also gone into Windows firewall advanced settings & created new inbound & outbound TCP8096 ports. Multiple reboots of the computer, router & Jellyfin to no avail. Reading through all of the methods doesn't seem to help. I know that I am missing a step. But which one? BTW: I did get Jellyfin setup started on my TV but get the same errors The IP code to get to my router is:162.168.0.1 is that what I am supposed to use? RE: server connection - sailor842 - 2024-02-14 I've finally gotten the IP address to be accepted. Then I couldn't figure how to log in until I tried "lost password" this took me to the screens needed to finish my setup. Kinda a back door way, but whatever...it worked thanks for the help. |
