Organizing Movies into Sub-Categories Within a Single Library Section - R4RaiN - 2024-02-14 I have a diverse collection of movies categorized by language - specifically, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi films. Currently, I have them stored in separate library corresponding to each language category. My goal is to have all these movies under a single "Movies" section in Jellyfin but still maintain their categorization visibly within this section. Ideally, I'd like to see these as separate sub-categories or folders within the "Movies" section when browsing Jellyfin, allowing for easy access and organization based on the movie's language category. I'm curious if there's a workaround or a feature.Thank you in advance for your advice and suggestions! RE: Organizing Movies into Sub-Categories Within a Single Library Section - bitmap - 2024-02-14 Workaround? Using folder view. Or, you can set the interface to collapse them all to a single "Movies" line, but still add the libraries line (i.e., on the Home screen) so you have a single, unified New, Up Next, Continue Watching section, but can still go in to individual libraries. Another workaround would be language tagging all your media with either an ISO code (e.g., "en" or "eng" for English) or the full language name. Then rebuild the DB with a single library and use the Filter feature to filter by whatever tag. There are downsides to both: the former only provides a unified Home Screen view and separate libraries while the latter is a lot of work and time to rebuild the library and DB plus the filter option is not a visual indicator of language. There have been scripts written to edit artwork to include media characteristics such as SD, HD, UHD and quality, but not language. You might find a feature request out there as well. RE: Organizing Movies into Sub-Categories Within a Single Library Section - R4RaiN - 2024-02-23 Hey How can I setup this 'Folder View' ? I tried added two movie folders eg: 'English' & 'Spanish' into a single folder eg: 'Classics' but unfortunately there wasn't any folder view inside 'Classics' in Jellyfin. Movies from folders 'English' & 'Spanish' merged as one |
